Picked up forms from court

Know what do we do, do I call the court and ask them for a date, or do we have to take forms to the court and request a date with the payment:confused:

    Hello there,
Book the date (over the telephone normally), then turn up on the day with forms fully completed and full fee....

    Good Luck

Find your local court that deals with bankruptcies and see what their procedure is. They don't all operate the same.

When I did it 3 years ago the wait was about a month at my court, so not surprised.

Some courts will fit you in earlier if they get a cancellation though. Worth asking if you want it sooner.

  • The court date isnt the one thats worrying me its the OR interview. We have a bit of a complex case as it is indirectly linked to our business. We had to close our business down, but didnt owe anyone enough for them to BR the business. So it is sat there in limbo at the mo as we didnt have enough to pay for the OR to close it. It is the personal guarentees that my OH that has killed us.

We also drew quite a bit of cash of the credit cards to pay our guys wages and OH got a loan to cover some overheads whilst we waited for the bank to say yes. At the end as the bank who had been making positive noises during 2 meetings suddenly said no to the loan we applied for! We also had a few clients suddenly go bust on us. I am really scared about what he is going to say about that!

Try not to worry about the OR interview (easier said I know)...besides you've got the worse bit done booking the court date....they've probably seen far far far worse in their time..
