Cleaning canvas storage unit

I got some canvas storage things to hang in the wardrobe to create more storage off freecycle. They are in great condition but because I am going to use them to store baby clothes I wondered how I could wash them
They say no machine wash, no hand wash - so not sure what to do.
They came from a pet free and smoke free home so not sure if I'm being a bit over-dramatic about washing them.
Any ideas on how to freshen them up?
Thanks

You could try some sort of fabric cleaner - like upholstery cleaner. it can be gotten from your local supermarket for a couple of pounds. I've used it on a sofa in the past and worked just fine.
Although, to be honest I'd be inclined to hand wash in warm water and use normal washing powder.

thanks domino - I am tempted to just gently hand wash them and see what happens but don't want to ruin them.
There are 3 of them - so I'll do one and see how I go.
