when you order your items from Tesco do they take the money out of the account Stright away and or take the money when they are about to deliver the Food.

as if they do how do i claim a refund as i cancelled my order but my bank account seems low but it will not say Tesco for a few days on my statment

My groceries are deliverd on Thursday morning. The money leaves my account on Saturday.

well it was my 1st order so at the moment i have no idea if they have taken the £60 out of my account or not. I will have to call them if they do as i cancelled it later on in the evening so i have no idea if the payment was taken out

ive never cancelled an order so i cant help you on that score. Yes you had better ring them to make sure the money isnt taken out of your bank account.

When I place my order tesco normally preauthorise £2.00 presumably to validate the card details. This reappears after a few days.

On the day of delivery the full amount leaves my account as a pending transaction and comes off my available balance. The transaction is normally confirmed and shown in full on my statement 2 days later. I bank with natwest and have a solo card with them if that helps

The money doesnt leave your account straight away, only once the delivery has been despatched. The money normally comes out of my account a few days after delivery.

How long before they were due to deliver did you cancel? Cos they have the option on the website to cancel the order but a few hours before they deliver you cannot alter the order/cancel it on the website.
