Hiya

Looking for a visa to help build up credit rating. Looking into Mastercard prepaid visa. Does this do that?

I dought if a prepaid card would help a credit rateing as there is no credit given. you could try capitalone or aqua however there rates are extortionate 29.9% so unless you can pay the balance off each month i wouldnt bother. There is also vanquise cc but there rates are unbelievable 56.8% :-)

    Capital One do one.

You'll only get a small limit like £200 but if you need a card for work expenses or something like that and it gets repaid then it's great.

I thought capital one did a guarenteed acceptance card or have they stopped that, they would give you a limit from £200 - £2500 but may ask for a deposit. That is how i got my card started with a limit of £200 now £600 i was lucky i didnt have to pay a deposit. But as i say i only use it to put petrol in and i clear it every month due to there rates

I was going to mention this one only to say 'don't touch with a very large barge pole'.....how do these companies get away with charging such ridiculous interest rates?

I suppose any of these cards would only be any good if you were really strict with yourself and only spent what you could pay off in the month....in order to rebuild your credit rating............easier said than done :o
