Boiled Chicken Pot

I'm looking to boil a whole chicken, as I've been told it's the best way to make the meat go further and wondered what size pot I'd need for it.

I've looked around and there are many sizes. What litre pot do people recommend for a whole chicken?

    A bit bigger than your chicken :confused: I couldn't possibly recommend a size of pot without knowing what size chicken you've got ;) I'd go for the biggest pot (and chicken) that I could find, as I love to make huge batches of casserole and soup.

    I use a large stew pot with a lid bought from Asda 2 years ago for £9
