Certificate of satisfaction?
Hi all,
I have recently paid off a CCJ for £200. The judgement date was 24th July 09, and I paid on the 6th August 09. I have a letter that says I should write to the court, enclosing cheque for £15 to HMCS in order to obtain a certificate of satisfaction.
My question is, if I obtain this certificate will my credit file be 100% clear of this CCJ? I'm looking for a loan in the foreseeable future and I'd like to know if I'm going to be penalised.
Thanks in advance.

'Unless you pay the full amount of the judgment within one month, your CCJ will be recorded on the Register of County Court Judgments for six years.'

I did pay within a month of the 'judgement date' so I think it will get wiped? I'm confused, and don't understand the purpose of the certificate.0 -
Also from:
hmcourts-service.gov.uk/courtfinder/forms/ex320_0406.pdf
You can only have your judgment removed from the Register if:
• you paid the full amount due within one month of the date of the judgment;0
