Hi everybody.Ive been looking at this unfair bank charges scam that was posted on this site and seems like people are getting there money back. The thing is ive been self employed for 5 years and forever getting charges just because a payment went in a day later than the direct debit was supposed to ect.It says you can roll back 6 years and having looked at my 5 years worth of accounts see the in all charges come in all to an amazing £3000.Can i get this back as my bank take money from me anytime they like without warning and as im self employed and just about live in my overdraft. How can i reclaim some money. Many thanks.Berz.

It is well worth a look but for your info... you can claim on bank charges, credit card charges and store cards too!
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -

Hey guys, I dont have all my statements and would like to find out all of my charges over the last few years.
Is there any way to retreive a list of charges from the bank? If i call them will they give me a list of all charges on my account ?
I have just signed up to https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk to have a look there, but thought I would ask advice here too.
Cheers0 -
You can request statements from your bank then go through them yourself - thats what ive just done with RBS, and i am maxed out on my 4K overdraft - will go through them later and see how much theyve swindled me out of over the last 6 years and get back to you??Focusing on clearing the credit cards in 2018 :T0

Thanks dottyanne, i will call both natwest and hsbc and request them too

Time to put some letters together ready to request my refunds!!!!! :T0 -
if they give you any nonsense about charging you extortionate amounts for the statements (and they no doubt will) - write to them, requesting them formally under the data protection act. There are pro-forma letters on the consumer action group website for this.
Legally, if you request them under the DPA, the most they can charge you is £10
