Does anyone rent a unit at an antique centre?

Hi, today my OH had the idea of renting a unit or a cabinet at one of the antique centres around us.
Has anyone done this? The cost is approx £150 a month for a 8ft ish squared unit, some charge commission, some dont.
We have lots of small old pieces of furniture and bits of collectable items and OH has collections of coins and bank notes in the loft.
It seems quite easy really. We arent looking to make a fortune, but maybe just a bit extra a month, plus getting rid of some stuff which is just packed away.
Do we need to be registered anywhere or need a license to sell things? What about paying tax? We want everything to be above board.
Thankyou.

It would probably be a lot cheaper to put the stuff on Ebay - listing fees are a lot lower, and the unit might have other conditions such notice periods etc.0

Hi, thanks for your reply. I think our Ebay days are over...too many scammers and things going for pennies.
We just thought that with an actual unit then the items are there to be seen, someone else does the selling and we dont have to be checking things all the time as with Ebay and spending ages taking detailed pics and listing etc. Plus running the risk of damage in the post or people making up faults.
We spoke to a couple today who were tending their unit and they say they spend approx half an hour a week there, replacing items and polishing.
I think it would be more of a hobby than a money making scheme.May £10 a day challenge£19.61/£310Ebay challenge...£12.61/£2000 -
Great - if its a hobby, then worth it - I guess it depends on the volume you want to sell etc.
I have just taken up stained glass making, and am really interested to find cheap workshop / display spaces in community projects etc.
I don't think you need to register anywhere to sell things, but I think you have to pay income tax on money you earn through sales.0
