my skin is not good at the moment , breakout of spots so need a foundation that is gentle for sensitive skin but also with good coverage, i know people recommend estee lauder for good coverage but can't afford expensive make up just now, can anyone recommend a cheaper brand

if you have bad skin, often cheap make up will just make it worse.... have you tried getting something like the clinique anti-blemish concealer for 'bad bits' and then using normal foundation? or trying a powder instead as it may end up being better for your skin?:happyhear0

I found using the bare minerals foundation cleared my spots up, i'm able to build quite a good coverage without looking caked in makeup. I use a wet clinique or estee lauder foundation for nights out / special occasions as that gives better coverage but if i use it for a couple of days in a row i get spotty again. I've found the garnier roller ball spot pen quite good.0

Try freederm gel to get rid of the spots, nothing else has ever worked so well on me and trust me I've tried the lot, use on individual spots when they are there or a light layer each evening to keep them at bay:) You can but it from Boots etc, £5 for a small tube or £10 for large.
Make up wise I would give Lily Lolo mineral make up a go or have a look at Avon (my new best beauty buy;)). EL doesn't appear to agree with people with sensitive skin:).Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
I bought some sample pots of mineral foundation 3 colours, concealer and blush, you can choose the colour and finish of each fo about £3 (from US so depends an current exchange rate), got the tip fom the freebies board, the company is Everyday Minerals.0

Mineral make up - ones that arent mixed with the top ingredient being talc
Bare minerals/esscentuals or Elemental Beauty are two that I use with great success although there are LOADS if you care to search out the mineral thread0 -

I second Suki's Vote for Elemental Beauty mineral foundation. I've only been using it for about a month now, but have had far fewer breakouts (I'm still playing around with moisturisors and cleansers so haven't gotten it perfected yet but the make-up is definately making a noticeable difference!). Its easy to apply, and pretty cheap because you can order samples (85p each at the moment I think) which last a couple of weeks each, and you can experiment to find which shade is best for you.
The make-up is light and doesn't clog pores.
Check it out!
