£5 off when spend £50

Called in at a BP filling station the other day and was given a till receipt-style printout which says
£5 off when you spend £50 or more at Argos and redeem a minimum of 500 Nectar Points at the same time.
valid until 31st May 2006.
Does this work out to be a good deal? I suppose it depends on what the spending power of nectar points is in Argos and whether they could be better spent elsewhere.

it depends on whether you would be buying £50 pounds worth of stock in the first place i suppose.
its interesting to add, but not all BP customers will be given the voucher. some will simply be given a slip reminding them that they can redeem their nectar points at argos. i suspect the offer is based on how you have previously redeemed your nectar points, as according to an instore memo this promotion is designed to bring new customers to argos.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Thanks. Anyone know what the maximum redemtion rate for Nectar points is, and where? I seem to recall that some eateries have a higher redemtion rate than Sainsburys and Argos.
Has anyone put together a quick look-up table for all the places where you can spend Nectar points?0 -

You can look up on the nectar website where you can redeem your points and how many you need to redeem
