Harrassment by arrears dept - help!

Hi all,
I'd really appreciate any help or advice on this. I got behind on my payments with Kays catalogues and set up a payment plan but got mixed up with the date of the first payment (yes, I know, dumb). Their arrears dept called me and reminded me, not pleasantly, and I re-set the payment plan. But they've carried on phoning me, averaging 5 times a day, leaving messages to call them etc. I answered phone again on Saturday, I was getting so stressed about the constant calls and told the woman it was all okay now. She checked the file and said she could see it was, apologised for calling and promised me I wouldn't be bothered again. They started again Sunday morning, and are still calling this morning.
I called the Financial Ombudsman Service, as I think this constitutes harrassment and they weren't interested. Had to repeat myself a couple of times, then he said they'd need a couple fo days to update their system and should then stop calling me - they've had 5 days today - and said he ahd never heard of them not being able to call you more than 3 times a day. Have I imagined this harrassment guideline?
I have complained direct to Kays, both on the phone and in an email, but it doesn't seem to have sorted anything. I know it's silly, but with everything else I have going on, this one thing is really getting me stressed and I feel like I can't answer the phone!

Sometimes you have to put things in writing for collections departments to pay any attention to you - so it may be worth sending a version of this letter Hillybillie- http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=11571485&postcount=4A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

Hi
You need to complain to Kays in writing. That is the only proof you have that you made the request. And allow 5 worinhg days for them to update their systems. But do not hold your breath. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Thanks for the advice, I'll send them a letter
