Credit Reference File Clean Up - Creditor being naughty

As the title suggests, I am having trouble with one of my creditors refusing to update the credit reference files as they want proof that the debt was included in the bankruptcy.
The creditor in question is Next and the amount was only around £300, but they are refusing to budge, saying that their debt could be excluded from the bankruptcy if it was not included in the schedule that was submitted at the time of bankruptcy.
I know this is utter rubbish, but how do I convince them of that? I have sent them a very polite email saying that they are telling porkies and that if they still don't believe me, they should contact the OR about this.
However, we are now beyond the 28 day mark that I gave them to update the records. Do I just automatically report them to the Information Commissioner or warn them that I will do so within the next xx no of days if they still refuse to do so?
Thanks!

Forgot to add that they are also claiming they were not contacted by the OR and this in itself means the debt would be excluded
