AOL - can't open - timeout gateway error messages

Hi
Is anyone else on AOL and able to open either aol.co.uk or aol.com and access their emails?
This morning I can't log on to either site - it just keeps saying it has loaded.
When I tried earlier I was able to log on to the site but when I logged in to my email I got a weird message about a timeout gateway and something to do with a server proxy or something like that.
As I type it has just stopped trying to load and now says "cannot find server" - please does anyone have any suggestions for how to fix this - or is there a problem with the AOL site itself?
I'm using Firefox as my browser.
