I have just defrosted some braising steak that has been in the freezer quite a while and its thawed brown? Is it off? Would you use it? It smells ok

    A chef told me that you shouldn't eat beef until it's gone brown as before then it's not flavourful enough?!

    I don't always go by that rule as quite often i eat it the day i buy it, but i never let the brownness put me off! :)

    Beef is supposed to be brown :D

    After things have been in the freezer for a while, they might not taste just as good as they did, but they're still perfect for eating :)
