hi folks my youngest is leaving home to go to uni next month and i know there is a thread on here somewhere regarding what i should insist he takes with him but the search facility failed to turn up anything. could some kind soul point me in the right direction please.

Hi there, i can't find the one on here, but there is one on a craft site i use, its quite good, gives the basics, you will need to have a good read of it, but it does answer your questions.

My dd1 (22) is off to Derby next month :eek:, ( where has the time gone), she uses the Derby uni forum, not sure where you son/ daughter is going but i'm sure there will be one,

I've not read this, but hope it gives you some ideas

If you haven't already done so teach him to shop (look at sell by dates, buy own brand etc) and how to read the washing instuctions on clothes and use a washer :rolleyes:
