Hi,
All I did was to have 15 columns. 1st name of debt - rent, gas, elec, water etc. Inc everything, dental, food, ins, car tax. 2nd col amount, 3 col date of direct debti or due date. The next 12 are Jan to Dec.
In excel there is a add sum button. Add up the coloumns for a total, then next row is salary last row is dif. I then change the colour as they are paid.BSC 289A life lived in fear is a life not living!Proud to have dealt with my debts.0 -
Name Payment Date Mthly Amount March
Rent 26th Mth 750 750
C Tax 1st Mth 80 80
G&E 28th Mth 91 91
Water 1st Mth 28 28
TVLC 1st Mth 11 12
Total 961
Salary 2700
Difference -1739
You can use the add sum button for calculations. Just change the symbol for the minus.BSC 289A life lived in fear is a life not living!Proud to have dealt with my debts.0 -

Oh Miss Spooky - you're good! I've just started a spreadsheet after using pen and paper for years. I think I prefer the old fashioned method.
