If on JSA and the benefits that go with it, my understanding is that you pay £5 a week.

When you get to the hearing, dont panic, easy for me to say, but they will try to help you, re,member not to get on a 'Soap Box' as that wont help. Tell the truth, dont make it up, leave that to the CSA they are very good at that and Judges are getting wise to this, at last.

Just wanted to let you know that your situation sounds very similar to something that happened to us.

Dont feel bad that you cant pay as much as you used to. For now it cant be helped so put that out of your mind. My DH used to have very well paid job we had nice house and nice things etc etc only couple of years ago PWC was paid about 600 pounds a month. However ... the credit crunch got us. We had to apply for income support and we live in a rented house. We have to pay the PWC loads less now we have no option. Try to think about it like I do, its not forever just for now. If you keep your present accomodation clean and happy your son wont care where you live he'll just be happy to be there:)

As for the courts, try to keep the worry levels to a minimum we had to go to court because of being credit crunched (not CM related) we had debts we now couldnt pay because we now had no jobs but the court took all our details and asked us to pay a really reasonable amount all that absolute worry for nothing in the end. The waiting is very stressful I know.

I suspect the appeal about when he was self employed.

I think it is im arrears with my Tax and didnt sign straight away as I was living off the amount I had saved for tax and Credit Cards and bank overdraft I signed on in Feb...My ex even acknowledged in a letter to me she accepts that things where tight...Should I produce that at tribunal??? I do want to pay and happy till im working for money to be deducted from my JSA and to pay arrears I have said this in writing to the tribunal in documents Ive sent them and I intend to speak to speak to everyone I owe Money too once Im working...Also I never have my son over night and have to travel over 400 miles for a day visit is this worth raising?

    Many Thanks

By all means produce the letter, you should send a copy in to the Tribunal 7 days before the hearing, but you can take it with you if you dont, they should and usually do ask if you have any further evidence you want to put in just before you go in. They will then copy this and give the copies to teh others that are there.

    Remember don't panic.
  • Once again thanks everyone...Slept a lot better last night .....Have a prelim on Monday so will let you know an update then
