Help tracing creditors ?.

I am filing for the bankcruptcy but I am having an issue tracing all the creditors that I owe money to as some are at previous address's. Does anyone know of an organisation or company that can help me to trace all my creditors so that I can have them all included on my petition for bankcruptcy. Thanks,Simon

could you not have a quick look at your credit files?

any creditor not mentioned in bankruptcy would still be included....your bankruptcy is entered into the London Gazette meaning ANY creditors can contact your official receiver if needs be

Hi Phil. I had looked at my credit files using Experian and noticed that there were quite a few debts which weren't included on there which is why I was concerned as to what debts were taken into account when I file my petition. My concern has been that once I filed for bankcruptcy that a company would come along that I hadn't included on the petition
and I would end up still having to pay off significant amounts of money.

ALL debts (if proveable in the first place) are included in your BR petition, whether or not you include them. (things like court fines, CSA arrears etc are never included)

So a credit card from 2001 will be included even if you leave it off. Its one of the reasons that the Gazette has you listed; its a place for creditors to check for you - its their responsibility and not yours.

Any debts that surface in the future (and are pre-BR date) then send them a copy of your BR order and request that they go forth and multiply. There is nothing they can do.

One of the main reasons why your placed in the London Gazette.....gives creditors a chance to speak up to your OR!

You list all debts that you are named upon. Your liability to the debts will disappear, so those joint ones your ex will now become solely liable for.
