Court Date on Tuesday - what do I need?

My OH and I are in a self employed partnership. We have been told repeatedly that we only need to pay one court fee and fill in the partnership forms.

This seems really odd to me. As well as our business we are also obviously both going BR and individual debts will also be included. I don't know how many more times we can ask the Insolvency Service as they keep saying that only one fee is applicable?

Could anyone explain to me why this is?

Will we be interviewed separately or together by the OR?

There is so much help out there for individuals but it's like getting blood out of a stone with regard to self employment!

Everyone here seems to know what they're talking about so I thought I'd give you all a try!

Many thanks in advance for any help you can offer (I'm extremely nervous now and cannot sleep - God knows what I'll be like with the OR interview)

Hi, first things first.. the court proceedings are absolutely nothing to worry about, honestly. I have never come across such nice, down to earth people and that included the judge. I have read many other reports of the same sort of experience. The worst part for me was being all nervous going through the metal detector and flashing my knickers to the security guard as I was frantically trying to show him my metal clasps on my trousers.. oops.
It seems bizzare that you would only need one payment to me. I realise you're in partnership but if each of you have not related to the business debts in individuals name then surely you would both have to have individual bankruptcy.

I shouldn't even be commenting really because I don't know. If you have the other fee I would take it just in case. There can be nothing worse than being psyched up for BR then having to go home on a technicality (of the wrong information!)

Hope it goes ok for you!
