  • Sorry I don't have a recipe but my mum used to make a fooproof recipe by Delia Smith where the sponge was actually cooked in the sauce. So chocolatey and comforting.
Oh no I want some now.
    Good Luck
  • Hello pixie I haven't posted on here before but when I read your plea for a yummy chocolate pud , I just had to tell you mine. Well actually it is from the "come dine with me" recipe book.

    100g unsalted butter
    100g good quality dark chocolate
    2 large eggs
    100g caster sugar
    20g plain flour

    Preheat oven 200 c gas mark 6.

Melt the butter and chocolate in a dish over a pan of simmering water. Once melted, set aside to cool.
meanwhile, whisk the eggs, sugar and flour together by hand untik smooth.
Stir in the cooled chocolate mixture until smooth and blended.
    Pour into 4 buttered ramekins.
Cook for 12-15 minutes until set.
Serve hot, inverted onto dessert plates.

Its so easy my 8 year old dd has made it with a little help from me ( hot oven )
Hubby loves this pudding, he was the one who found the recipe book so bought it for me, good job I love cooking.

Will have to make some now.

This is my favourite Chocolate fudge PuddingIt isn't quite what you have in mind, but it produces a cakey pudding with a sauce underneath. It goes down a storm with my family and it requires no chocolate -just cocoa or eggs so it is fairly economical.
  • Google chocolate fondant - that's the official term for these things....

    Here's one that works http://www.waitrose.com/recipe/Chocolate_Fondant_Puddings.aspx

Timing is CRITICAL with these - seriously a minute over and the ooze is gone! You should practise if you are trying to impress people. Of course you get to eat the mistakes - tragedy or what!
