New oven?

My outer oven door has shattered is it still safe to use? should i get a replacement glass panel is it worth it? Have considered getting a halogen oven, i like doing crumbles and stuff could i use a halogen for that, any suggestions please

    Don't use it without! It is there for a reason. If you do use it the inner glass will get extremely hot, so much so that if you touched it, you would be severely burnt!

    If you can get a new panel it would be worth doing, depending on price of pane and age of oven, as a new oven will cost much more than a glass panel, your decision.

  • I use a Nu Wave counter top halogen oven and I don`t use my main oven any more. There is only me and my son to cook for (ex dh sometimes eats with us too) so it is plenty big enough. I mostly cook meat/fish/potatoes in mine but I did cook a fruit pie and it turned out very nice. You need to get used to temperature settings/timings much like any new oven but I am very happy with mine and at around £70 a lot cheaper than you would have to pay for a new full size oven.
