loanguard turned us down HELP!!!!!!!

PLEASE HELP we have a loan out but my husband was dismissed (he was HGV driver and he refused to take the load because it was overweight . he expected his boss to amend the load but he dismissed him .)now loanguard has refused claim saying he made himself unemployed through his own misconduct.Is there anything we can do

    Of course there is - appeal! If the insurance company effectively expect your husband to break the law in order to avoid being dismissed they must be mad.

    Appeal, write to the insurance ombudsman and also threaten to go to the press unless you get your claim upheld.

  • If your husband has been dismissed for refusing to break the law you should seek legal advice (Citizen's Advice Bureau is a good place to start, or some solicitors offer a free 30mins on Wednesday afternoons).

    On the insurance; you should appeal against the decision directly to the insurance company first then take it directly to the Insuracne Ombudsman as Rafter says.

    If the case is a "black and white" as your post you can't lose!

    thank you for advice were taking his exboss to a triburanal( sorry about spelling)for unfair dismal writing to the loan companies to give them more details hope this will work
