Hi,
You should already be discharged. You can check on the insolvency website here :
http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/eiir/
With regards to savings account, I have opened an internet savers account with Yorkshire Building Society, comes with a cash card, had no problems opening it - I am due for AD in 18th August....3 days!!Saving target £6k by Aug 2011Raised so far £350/£6k0 -
problem is most OR's dont usually inform you in writing......have you checked here>>>> http://www.insolvency.gov.uk/eiir/ look for your "status" should show discharged...if not you need to speak to your OR's office to see whats happening
Savings accounts....Hmm they're fun at the best of times
A couple for you to try would be Sainsburys Saver account (although you need confirmation in writing of discharge from your OR this would be free of charge)
Or YBS and their internet saver account...they'll take discharged & undischarged BR's no questions asked
Others for some reason will credit check a person before opening a savings account...which while the BR sits on your files for 6yrs you'll fail
***EDIT*** really need to type quicker! We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
I opened a Nationwide savings account, infact I've got 2 (a basic and a regualr saver) I informed them of my BR and they said that's fine. I suppose there's np credit involved so no credit check and no risk to them.Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.
wins - peroni bottle opener, peroni bowl, peroni coastersx2 and a vodkat cocktail kit,
would love to win something 'proper'!!0 -
Just like to say thank you all very much for your help & support through a very stressful BR, Please keep up the good work :beer:0

Congratulations on your AD!!!! Did you check the website? You will fall off that website 3 months from the date of discharge. Onwards and upwards - you are now free to go and make your fortune!
