Credit report info

It's me again! Sorry, I must stop wondering and asking questions.

I'm thinking about credit reports. I think I would like to see mine but confused as to where I go for one, how much it would cost, whether it will effect my credit rating in doing so (I am having a laugh!) but i'd still like to know.

Thanks. I just want to be so clued up about how every thing works.

Thanks! I have only read the first couple of paragraphs and I feel I've been used now.

From how i'm understanding it I have been given more and more credit because I was a knock on bet to make the company's money because of how i've acted in the past with paying minimum payments etc. Am I understanding correctly that someone with a really good credit rating could be rejectected becuae they're likely to pay off the money very quickly therefore not making the company much money?

    I can't believe i'm 30, didn't know this. I am so gullable!

    Well....things change thats life

one minute I had a good job decent credit...next thing 3wks in hospital after a serious car accident (sadly NO compensation thanks to a drunk driver who fled the scene leaving me for near dead) followed by bankruptcy!

you certainly ARE NOT gullable....been there done that & got the t-shirt as many more here have! to be honest?? I really wouldnt bother with credit files till after your bankruptcy...UNLESS its something you really really need to see

Nah, I'm not going to bother. I'll look into clean up next year but let this idea just go.

I'm beginning to hate with a passion creditors and their system. I wouldn't be the slightest bit bothered but I really don't like the fact that i'll need them for a mortgage in years to come makes me so annoyed. Also the thought of having to get a credit card, spend on it, make repayments just to improve my credit rating is a joke to me.

Stuff that, no credit cards for me, i'll have to just take what offer of mortgage (I HOPE!) i'll get.

Long way off  why do I think so much!?

Planning for the future perhaps? your not the first & no means the last thats looked to future plans...that mortgage WILL be available one day for you...bankruptcy draws a line under one life & from the day your paperwork is signed you start a new fresh life....and IT WILL get better for sure...the light at the end of the tunnel isnt always the train heading towards you!! Bankruptcy is NO means the end...many many many people move on years after to lead far better lives than before

You think "what if" for everything....bankruptcy does that to you..couple of years ago when I faced mine I had a million and one things flying round my head....after the day in court things hit me afterwards of what i'd done...and in the end its been the best thing I EVER did! :D

Creditors only care about two things....their business & people paying back cash ontime...IF that stops then its funny how nasty they can suddenly turn on you...bankruptcy I thought of to me was the biggest sheild I ever had to hide behind...once creditors knew of my status...they move on to another unsuspecting victim
