i don't think that will happen somehow - what we may see and most probably happen is many people that wanted to buy not buying as they will have to pay higher mortgage rates compared to 6 months ago... :rolleyes:0 -

A friend has just had an Estate agents round to vaule her house, now she has no reason to move, she's just got itchy feet for a change, but the estate agent has told her if she doesn't need to move she is better staying put for the time being, according to him no matter what the papers are saying houses are just not selling. I don't relate to titles of 'bull' or 'bear' but common sense seems to dictate that all this ramping up of the market is just that, and of no substance at all.0 -

It might be better to try to sell now before everyone realises the market is going down again, however as th EA said it is difficult to sell especially with chains collapsing due to prudent lending conditions compaired to sellers inflated delesional prices.:exclamatiScams - Shared Equity, Shared Ownership, Newbuy, Firstbuy and Help to Buy.

I thought when IR rates were dropping Blanchflower had a VI and "knew nothing".
Now he is spot on? Believe what you like, but at least be consistant.Can we vote for the eviction of Blanchflower and say replace him with someone who knows what they are talking about like Peter Schiff.

but Brit you've forgotten to answer these questions...just taken a look at TW8 and it's not dropped a huge amount Brit...
property is still at November 2006 prices in your area which is no where remotely near your predicted 50% drops by the way.
can you explain if property was 38% overpriced and they're also going to drop further, why house prices haven't dropped to the September 2004 house price level like it has for England & Wales?0
