What do you mean? It's not reliable?

How is that any help to a BR who has to be extra careful.. !!!!!!

Sorry, not directed at you, jusst argh banks! fed up with them
  • Yes you can.

It's not "up to the minute" about your transactions. What I do is keep a spreadsheet of everything that has gone out and come in, which is easy really, then you know where you are at all times.

In my opinion it's a great account.
Look down your nose at me and I thumb my nose back at you. :p

It is just the available balance that does not change when you use your debit card.

But if you take money out of an ATM it will appear straight away, and if you pay money in at a branch or the Post Office, it will also appear straight away.

Oh ok, i'm not sure my previous account showed transactions immediately anyway. That's ok, I can deal with that.

I havn't a spreadsheet but I have a nice piece of A4 clagged to my fridge where everything will be written down.

    Hi

    I use this http://www.tescosoftware.com/financedetailed.php

Not as detailed as Microsoft money and dont even know if they do it anymore but this is how I keep track of my DD,s and S/O. I take them all off at the start of the month when I get paid and then put cash in my pots  and that leaves me with a buffer zone of £5/6 each month in the bank for anything unexpected.

I also check the bank online every day.

You can also do the same with a spreadsheet. Being BR has made me more effecient ( Sp?) and I know where every penny goes nowadays ;)

Try Excel (microsoft office ££) OR open office into google that's a free office suite enabling you to spreadsheet etc...or....ring the co-op's bank helpline the balance is always up to date from them
