Got one of those liuid soap maker things that turns bars into liquid. I ried dove, whilst nice and creamy didnt go very far. Tried palmolive and the texture was like snot/running eggs.
Just wondered if anyone else uses one and what brands of soap they find best in them.
Cheers!!

I'm probably missing the point, but isn't it simpler to just buy liquid soap.....?Stompa0

it works out cheaper than buying the liquid soap as you can get loads out of a bar, also you can use up odss and ends that are too small to wash with any more that you have had in the bath or shower, plus there no plastic waste from buying all the bottles so more eco friendly.[STRIKE]Debt 01.01.2010 = £70,000[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Debt 01.02.2011 = £53,495 [/STRIKE] [STRIKE]Debt 05.05.2011 = £51,959 [/STRIKE]

What's wrong with using the bars of soap as they come, they last for ages?
The problem you're having is down to the ingredients used to make the soap.
Dove is only partly soap, the rest is detergents and moisturisers etc. Palmolive is more of a soap (haven't got the ingredients list, but I think it's pretty much a pure soap) and it's probably the olive oil in it that makes it snotty as a pure olive oil soap gets snotty when wet.0 -

This person uses Castille, from the £0.99 store.
Can I ask where you bought your liquid soap maker from?
I have been considering making my own liquid soap, but the thought of grating bars of soap does not sound like a fun afternoon.0 -
For using up the odds and ends, take one of those washing tablet bags and place in there, you get an excellent lather, in fact so good, I use them everywhere. I don't know who posted that tip ages ago but thanks as it is a really useful one.0

I use Asda's smart price foam bath - 1 litre for 19p last time I bought it. I add it to a liquid soap dispenser half and half with water. Lasts ages and hard to beat for the price. Usually on the bottom shelf.
I used to do the same with Tesco's value shower gel but that was 300ml for 10p so not quite as cheap.0 -
