Mortgage Application & P60

Hi. I've had an offer accepted on an house and i'm going to Nationwide tomorrow afternoon to proceed with a mortgage appliaction. They said I need to take in my last 3 wage slips and P60. The only problem is I can't find my last P60 (I won't received the latest one for another 2 weeks).

Does this matter? My boss says they won't need it as they will write to him anyway.

I'm a FTB buying 50% in shared ownership with 15% deposit. I've banked with Nationwide for the past 9 years so they can see proof of my income anyway just by looking at my account.

Many thanks.

Maybe your March payslip would suffice as it should show your earnings Year to Date (April 05 to March 06)?

Just tell Nationwide - they should be ok with it.

My P60 is a bit of paper upon which illegible details are printed by computer in almost the right place at very high speed. This form is created by your employer and has nothing to do with HMRC. My P60 had the wrong National Insurance number on it for 13 years. The tax office it mentioned had no knowledge of either using the wrong number or the right one. It did have the correct totals on it. These can be confirmed by your employer if you give the appropriate department eg. payroll, wages, personel etc. permission to do so.

some lenderd would not accept a P60 anyhow as it does not break down your basic, overtime ect

Last few months payslips should do the trick
