I am glad you put me straight on that!! "thanx" It is so confuing how the csa work, its like they are a law amongst there own!!.
Although I do believe they have it wrong in some cases and there has to be a better way to deal with ppls cases, may be it should be looked at individually??
I do know some men who have had to leave the family home and they are not earning enuf to live independently to be able to have a base for there children, this is because csa do not consider that a man has to start from scratch and for some, on a low wage, its all very barbaric the way they treat genuine fathers, its almost like men dont have a meaning other than money.
As a woman and a genuine one, I am dreading my son having children because i have seen so many good fathers been pushed out of there children lives and because the country appear to favour mothers and the law states that they should not have to pay any penalties ,so to me ,they have given the vindictive mothers the go-head to play the system knowing that they can get away with it because they will lie to save there skin and most men are looked upon as the guilty one!!
    Will it ever be fair??

    UPDATE:

We are in the middle of filling in an appeal form but have recieved a phone call from the CSA tonight to say that they are doing an attachment of earnings to my OH's wages of 90 pounds a week, they didn't want to know that he only earns 145 a week after tax, leaving us with 55 a week to bring up our kids + pay the bills + mortgage + live on.
Don't honestly know how we will manage

They will only be able to take £58 per week if his takehome pay is £145 per week as the max they can take is 40% of his net income. As tax credits aren't paid via wages, he will not pay the full amount. PM me with the details of your assessment and I will check it is right or what you can do to possibly get it reduced. If you are on CS1 and his net income is so low, I am surprised it is not a nil assessment to be honest. Please PM me.
