Jewellers Rouge - any ever used it?

I've got a glass dining table that I was thinking of selling but it's got some scratches in it (nothing too deep but they are there).
I've been told that Jewellers Rouge can help with the scratches and I just wondered if any of you lovely peeps had actually tried it? Didn't want to do to the expense of ordering some if it's a real faff to use etc.
I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife :D Louise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.

Never heard of it but I do know that Brasso takes the scratches out of watch glasses so may do the same for your table more cheaply.

Thanks Middlers. Just googled Brasso and scratches and it would appear that if my ipod needs any cleaning up brasso will do the trick there (along with toothpaste!)

I have some jeweller's rouge. It cleans up my gold jewellery beautifully.

I read that it takes scratches out of glass but I didin't find it successful, it only stained the scratches red. However, I think my scratches were quite deep.
