Had a strange letter from 'Intermin Justicia', they state they are now dealing with my debt from Great Universal, although i'm not quite sure why its been passed to them as i have a payment arrangement with GUS to pay £30 per month and am up to date with the payments - any ideas anybody ??

It sounds like they are trying to scare you into paying more. If you haven't missed any payments, just keep on working with GUS and if they try to call you either hang up or tell them you will only deal with the original creditors.

I've never had to enter a 'payment arrangement' with any of my creditors, so I don't really know how it all works, but I'd have been surprised if they hadn't passed the debt on tbh
By entering into a payment agreement, you've told them that you're struggling to pay, so they'll automatically have you flagged as a potential bad debt - from their point of view, as a business, it makes sense to pass that risk on, even if it doesn't help you!
There is nothing to say that you can't carry on dealing with GUS themselves as far as I know, so I would just carry on paying what you've agreed!Highest Debt (Sept 04) -> £41,300

I've had some dealings with the same company about my student overdraft. Natwest passed me to them because i couldn't afford the minimum repayments on the account. The first i heard of this was when the Interim Justicia contacted me to tell me this had happenned.
I'm guessing that GUS are just trying to make you pay more than your £30 per month and think that by passing you onto a company like this they will be able to settle quicker
One thing I would say about this company is that if they have got hold of your phone number they seem to enjoy ringing ... all the time! I ended up writing to them to request they only contact me by letter as it got too much. If you do end up dealing with them, they do however seem quite helpful (at least they were about my payments) and aren't as patronising as some of the other companies can be.
The only thing I suggest is to try and contact GUS and ask if they have passed it on & the reasons why .. if they refuse to deal with you and you do have to go through I.J just pay the same as you have been doing - they can't refuse if thats what your initial plan was with GUS0 -
i would carry on paying gus your £30 , gus have just used them to get you to pay more up it when your situation improves, as for if they keep ringing just let bt know you are getting nuisence calls and they will change your number to ex directory at no cost .0

I had an account passed to this agency a couple of years ago. They are a bit of a pain for ringing up etc but I did find that after a few months of paying the agreed amount on time, they accepted a full and final settlement figure of 40% of the debt. :j :j :j0
