Best Electric Toothbrush

I am looking at purchasing a rechargeable electric toothbrush. Seeing that I have major phobia of dentists I would like a really good toothbrush at a really good price! Anyone who can advise out there? Cheers and Happy New Year to all x

I've been using a Sonicare for the last 6 months. Keeps my teeth clean far better than I could with a manual brush. In addition, you still need to floss - as my dentist pointed out to me :-[

Electric toothbrushes won't keep you free from dental visits but they make it less traumatic in my experience ;D
  • Sale may be over in a few days, but from personal experience, these Ultrasonex toothbrushes are great - they leave your teeth with "that squeaky clean feeling", and also some gritty stuff; just like at the dentist, but without being poked with those nasty pointy things!

Only thing missing from the experience is that funny taste left in the mouth... fortunately, this can be replicated by using baking-soda toothpaste. smile.gif

    Hope this helps.
  • I have a sonicare (elite) have used oral b ones in the past but really like the sonicare (around £99 Boots with 2000 free points -although bought mine when on offer)

    £76 in amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000DINOB/qid=1104338570/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_10_1/026-5259314-8143636)

When I started using it my gums and mouth were sore! But after adjusting I can really see a difference in my teeth and appearance and would recommend it.

Replacement heads are a bit expensive, but not sure how they compare to other brands.  Boots sell them for £15 each or £25 for pk 2.

Thanks everyone - I have gone for the Ultrasonex - still 50% off at amazon and the heads are cheaper!
