Well Ive done it

After all the years of worry it was all over in 1hr and 5 minutes.....

I went to Court yesterday at 8.30 it didnt open until 9 but I thought I would be early and make sure I knew that everything was correct and that I had the right place etc.etc.etc. Anyway, got into the court at 9 and I was seen by a clerk within 5 minutes of entering the court gave him my money and I swore on the bible and he went over my forms which he said were filled in immaculately ??????. after that I was told to wait outside and he would be along shortly to take me to see the judge. After another 5 minutes out he came and showed me to another waiting room and said wait here I will go and see the judge. So I waited. Within 10 minutes he was back out to say that I didnt need to see the judge and that I should go outside and have a fag and to meet him back downstairs in the foyer as he was going to type out my BR paper thingy (whatever its called ) so I went outside and had 2 fags.
I then met him back in the foyer of the court and he showed me back into the room where I had sworn on the bible and told that was it and to wait for the phone to ring and to speak to the OR.
I waited for what seemed an age but in reality was only about 10 minutes finally the OR rang who took my details and told me that they had no interest in my bank and that I should have no problem with them freezing it (its a basic barclays account) and that the OR will be in touch in about 4 WEEKS with a date for my phone Interview.
Then at 10.05 precisely I walked out of court debt free and with the biggest smile on my face that I have had since that night in Bangkok (but thats a different story )
So just the OR interview to go and its all over. If anyone is worried about going to court dont be as everyone was so friendly and helpful and not at all judgemental that I felt a right (insert your own swear word) for working myself up over it.
Finally I would like to thank the people on this board for helping me out and giving me the advice that I found so invaluable.

Ditto, that was my experience of the whole thing too. I've never worried like I worried leading up to the court appointment but I walked out of there thinking what a lovely bunch of people.

yep, thats pretty much how i remember it. the judge i had was very smooth and calm sounding lol. his question made me laugh. "Is it your wish that i make you bankrupt" i said yes obviously and he then said "I have so ordered you bankrupt, please see the people in reception about contacting ther OR".

to be honest, i was stunned and shocked - i really expected a massive row about how i shouldnt get into debt etc but he looked really like he didnt care lol.

best move i ever made!!

start looking to the future, for the most part, its down hill from here. (hopefully )
