Filing a US Tax Return, need a little help. !!

Options
Hey Guys

Have a strange request here thats not related to UK tax issues but hopefully some advice is out there nonetheless.
I am married to an American Citizen and will be moving out to the US very soon ( hopefully ) and at the moment she is filing a Tax Return with the IRS over there so she can get a sizeable rebate , she needs some documentation from me like payslips proof of earnings which is pretty straightforward, but one thing they asked for is a "Notarised Copy of my Passport ". My question is is that i have no idea where i could get my a notarised copy of my passport,, does anyone have any idea .
Hope someone can help.
Cheers
Martin

  • Hi Martin
My understanding of asking for a notarised passport simply means you have to go and get a copy that has been stamped and approved as valid, If you look in the yellow pages for Solicitors and Notaries Public, they should be able to sort this for you.
