Mortgage/bank statement question

Options
Hi all,

My partner and I are currently working to get a mortgage. We both had debt, have now consolidated it (good credit history - both of us) and are within the criteria for getting a mortgage at our local bank.

We have to go back and see them to process the application. They require the previous 3 bank statements from us. Now, I'm pretty much overdrawn every month, but never end up in the red for an entire month, as in I don't carry it.

Will this affect our chances of the mortgage considering our credit history is good? The loan we were offered which consolidated our debts went through no problem, and the bank was prepared to offer the maximum amount available to us which we declined.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Colin
