Legal Fees - What do you Think?

Hi All,
So just a little background to begin.
I had a job. . . . A well paid job. . . . Got made redundant. . . . . got into an immense out debt. . . . currently digging myself out!
Good news is that I have got a good job now, and am starting to pay off all the people, but unfortunately i did end up with 4 ccj's against me :-(
Around last year, I got up to £8,000 in arrears in Abbey. As of this morning, I managed to pay off the last off the arrears and am now back on track for making regular monthly payments. (Which this time I will keep as making payments two days before i was due to be evicted, is hair raising to say the least! And that happened three times!!!!!)
I just got off the phone to them, as I had asked them to send me a breakdown of how much in legal fees they have added to my mortgage which they said they will send me in a couple of days.
With the other thread about bank charges and everything, I was wondering if it's different with mortgages or can they add on what ever they think is resonable?
Second part to my tale:
In my distresses of the last two years, i also took out a secured loan with Furture Mortgages. (These people are the worst I have EVER dealt with!)
Anyway, i own them a total of £12k which I have started ebbing away at with £500 payments per month.
But they have also informed me that they will be charging me a total of £950 in late charges. Now I admit i was tottallly rubbish and missed payments for nearley 9 months, but does anyone know if there is anything I can do about these late chrages?
Thanks for reading, and hope I havent bored you too much!
Any advice is appricated. . .
Thanks
