6 years today since I declared bankrupt

Just realised its been six years since I declared. I cant believe how fast its gone. Esp. when I think about the huge mess I was in and the way my life's turned around.

I kept the receipt from the court costs from the day I went in:rolleyes:, everyone now and then I come across it and think I should frame it or something.

Do you really feel like it was a good decision to make in your life? I feel like I woun't have any regrets about it (been BR for 5 days only) but worry how its going to impact on the rest of my life. I've come to accept that I will lose my home but I'm fine with that now.

It's just reassuring to hear that it's still a good decision to make even after the relief of having creditors back off a bit.

Ive just checked my credit report and its not there! So it seems to have gone already.

Yes, I made the right decision. It was scary and frightening and I felt I had failed everyone. But my life has come around ten fold and now here I am six years later...

  • Congratulations,

Tell us honestly, what effects if any did going BR have on your life in the last 6 years?

How do you feel about no matter how long it has been you will have to tick that box Have you ever been Bankrupt? Having cleared your credit report would you still tick yes?

    Thanks
