Longlasting eylash curlers

Hi there, Is there such a thing as long lasting eyelash curlers? I use curlers daily and find the plastic bit splits after a couple of months and I don't find it easy to buy just replacements so end up buying new curlers. I have tried not pressing quite so hard but it doesn't sem to make much difference. Any ideas?

I use a heated eyelash curler, its one prong, rather than the normal clampy press type, and much better IMO. I've had it a few years and I've not even had to change the battery yet, although its probably going to need that soon.
I think I bought it with saved points at Boots and it wasn't very expensive: I can't remember how much though, sorry

Shu Uemura are the ONLY eyelash curlers worth buying. Not cheap but they do last as the silicone inserts rarely split. They do come with one refill but you can't buy spares so it means a new curler if you wear the 2 pads out.:A MSE's turbo-charged CurlyWurlyGirly:A

I have used Carmen heated curler, M & S heated curler, Bodyshop curler, Boots curler!
The best one I found was in Home Bargains (non heated) it is a black steel one that also handily comes with a black liquid liner its Outdoor Girl brand (a brand from the 90s if I recall) and it was 99p !!!
Also came with silicone strip refill - for 99 p!!!
They still have it in stock as I go in regularly and they are still on sale......0 -

hang on a tick.....................yes, just checked : ruby and millie. I occasionally, if I've got a day going into evening use a bit of hairspray on it for added hold
but as I say, its proven its self longlasting and reliable. It also takes up less room in a makeup bag/drawer: its a bit like a mascara wand.

I've replaced the rubber thing with very small amount of rolled up tissue wedged into the curved cavity. Needs a little experimenting to get it right, but once in place works a treat (without catching stray eyelashes & yanking them out like the rubber). Replaced months ago & still going strong."Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0

I have one in my handbag in case I have an eyelash emergency while out

I got a cheap (& good one) from primark the other week, you get 4/5 of the plastic inserts. Half price, 50p I think it was.New York ♥..........These street will make you feel brand new, Big lights will inspire you.

i dip mine into hot water and then curl the lashes, this gets rid of any crud which can decay the inserts and keeps the curl in the lashes longerAnd yes the lady in the avatar is me
