Council rent arrears/repairs

Hi guys im no longer in council accommodation, but have to pay back roughly £500 in rent/repair arrears at £10 a week.
Will this go into my BR or is it because its the council I have to still pay it?

And can anyone rec a good credit file company I tried experian
and nowt showed up!!!

Do you have an invoice type thing for the council debt thats dated before your BR date? If so then yes as its a proveable debt. Council stuff will not appear on a credit file - it just never does!

Experian is the leader, Equifax a second. But they are only as up to date as the creditors pass on. Plus if a default on a debt was listed on your file over 6 years ago then it will have dropped off by now and cannot be re-defaulted.

I did a Experian one and it showed nowt.
CCCS have told me I have to find out who I owe what to before i an go BR
i bascially stuck my head in the sand, moved house lots and one of them has caught up with me.

But if nowt is showing how can I go BR?

And yes I have invoice thing somewhere, i always thought council stuff had to be paid!!
