Hi,

I hope this is the right board to post... Today I just received a fantastic offer from Vodafone and wanted to share with you guys.

Normally I would buy my mobile from dial-a-phone and claim cashback, so I will get a 12 month contract with approx. 500+ minutes and 500+ text messages and on average pay £11 - £14 per month (after redemption).

Today a nice guy phoned me as my 12 month contract is coming to an end, after talking for about half an hour he offered 600 minutes plus unlimited text for only £13 !!!! I didn't expect this and I was seriously thinking of cancelling and go to PAYT!!

I think this is a fantastic deal, what do you guys think?
Any better deals than this out there currently?

I have 7 days to change my mind but I think I wont as he had to get managers authorization!!

I received my new Nokia 5800 today which I got through Dialaphone.

    The deal was:-

    1. New 5800
    2. free 8gb memory card
    3. unlimited text messages
    4. unlimited mobile internet
    5. 1200 free minutes
    6. £200 automatice cashback (so no remembering to send off your bill!!)
    7. £40 cashback through dialaphone as I "recommended" myself
    8. £40 cashback as i purchased the phone through Mrs Cashback

It is an 18 month contract with Orange for £35 per month. Am really pleased with the phone and think I got quite a good bargain.

  • Hi,

I think i got a really good deal from O2.

I got a £150 credit for keeping my existing handset,
    400 minutes
    100 texts
All for about £12 a month.
    12 month contract

So once you take the 150 away from wat i pay yearly, it's REALLY REALLY cheap.
    :jTo be Young AGAIN!!!!...what a wonderfull thought!!!!!

    Hi everyone,

Thanks for the all the response...in the end I decided to cancel it 'cos:
    1. No phone was being offered
    2. A SIM only deal was being offered of 600 min and unlimited text only for £15 anway (so I figured it isn't such a unique deal
    3. Another check on dial-a-phone I can get the nokia 5800 (which looks pretty cool) for an average £15 per month with o2 (but 2 years contract  )

Fag_ash_lil: Im sure you can benefit from some of the offers from cashback you can get loads more minutes and maybe a free phone with £10 per month (but mustn't forget to send the statement every 3-4 months)

natty16: I worked out your contract to be apprx £20 per month not bad for a nice phone and 1200 free minutes and unlimited internet!!! it like the iphone!!
IF the offer is still there or if it comes by again please let me know :)

morocha: 100 min seems a bit low for £14 per month

pennymakespound: fantastic deal! it's basically a FREE phone!! well done

    Sorry for all the writing!

I had the same situation. Vodafone phoned me up and stated that I was such a good customer that they offered me a sim only for friends or relatives.
The deal was 600 mins and unlimited texts for £10 a month, which is a bargin so I snapped it up for my mum... However I have had nothing but trouble with them.
When the first bill arrived for the phone it was covering about a month and a half which ended up being £36, which being £10 a month should have only been about £15.
I then called them up to discuss the problem and the gentleman on the phone said that he would apply a 50% promotion on my account and I would be sent a new bill.
A week went by and I still hadn't had a new bill, so I phoned them again and they said that the 50% had been applied to my account but the gentleman said that he would take £10 off the bill.

However, on my bank statement the total sum of £28 was taken out of my account... still incorrect. So yet another phone call to vodafone who told me that the promotion had only been started the first day I phoned and had not been applied to the previous bill. I was then told that they would credit my account with £15.

So hopefully it will all be sorted now, but please check your bills!!
