Cheap(est) flat screen monitor!?

Dear all, so sorry if this is in the wrong place, I've never started a thread before. I've looked through various areas and can't find anything specific to cheap TFTs, so I thought I'd start the ball rolling, as there are so many good money savers out there with a keen nose for a bargain.
I buy a lot of computer stuff, and build a few PCs for friends and family only, and I've had lots of amazed comments about the price of the monitors and great quality too, so I thought I'd share nicely.
I often use https://www.aria.co.uk - quite cheap and fast delivery, but have great Super Specials. They often claim to having the cheapest TFT in the UK (and I'm sure this thread will prove that (either way!).

They currently have a 17" Digimate L-1725 for £111...

...and it's good too (I've bought the previous models 1715 and 1720 - awesome quality). Now be warned this isn't a cheap TFT that's bundled with a PC that you'll get at many high street stores - this is quick. It has a response time of 8ms (in preference to 16 or 25ms) so those gamers (or parents of gamers!) will love it - no ghosting from fast moving images. It has a high brightness and contrast ratios (300cd/m2 and 500:1) - so unlike this cheap one I'm looking at, at work, you won't have to crank up the brightness to 80% to read it!) It can tilt and wall mount, and has built in speakers (a bit tinny on the previous models though).
17 inchs of pleasure for £111 seems too good to be true... can anyone beat it? Oh, and it comes with 3 years warranty!
Hopefully, you'll all save some money - or maybe you'll be tempted to part with some (sorry!)

Cool, I'm so pleased I've inspired one person to get a great monitor - I'm still stunned by how cheap they are, viewing pictures on our new dig cam has been astonishing - vibrant colour and the detail is incredible. And aria seem to have these on 'offer' pretty much all the time - downside? You can only get one at that price. Way around it? Look at their deals for the day - as they often have more of the same, at a slightly lesser discount (and you can have as many as you like!) I just need to find another person in the family who doesn't already have one (but I'm running out of family!)
    Enjoy!

Todays price on the above flat screen is £105.69 on the specials page- this IS the cheapest monitor around (especially of this size and quality)... and I thought my previous post couldn't be beaten!
    WOW

    I wanna another one!

Buy it, but don't forget to say thank you.

    Happy money saving:money:

    Hi John,

Your thread may get more response on the shop but don't drop board, so I'll move it over there.

hiya I want a 17" flat screen I don't do anything fancy on my PC I just want to get rid of the cumbersome big monitor. The prevous poster L1725 is £123 but there is another one on for £96 which is more my price range, but when I read the spec on them .I don't have a clue what it means, it may as well say ......lsfdjgosrgoshybyndonu

    Help

    Hi Tee Pee,
The prices always seem to change! The Aria.co.uk site I use has a SpecialsPage.. see link
    http://www.aria.co.uk/specials.asp

click on the monitor section, and scroll until you see:

    17" Digimate L-1721 TFT Monitor 8ms 500:1, 3 Year Warranty

This one is £96 (with VAT) if you order it through this specials page. Then delivery on top. These digimates are really good, plus a 3 yr warranty for piece of mind. It a similar spec to the 1725 and 1715 which I have, but better! It now has a 8ms response rate - means it can refresh it's image really quickly - of more interest to gamers... but why shouldn't you treat yourself? It has inbuilt speakers to save more room, but don't expect great play back of music, but for 'normal' sound its fine. This model seems to have the buttons discretely placed on the side! I've found the brightness and colours to be vibrant, and the monitor a stylist upgrade from the old crt monitor I had before. I'm sure whoever you buy off, you'll be overjoyed.
    Good luck.
