Hi I am first time buyer wishing to purchase my Council Flat as a stepping stone onto the market...I have been to bank my finances are great, no debts but my credit rating is pants....Any advise to overcome this problem would be appreciatted....Many thanks in advance

Some lenders don't base their decision purely on credit score, seek out an independent mortgage adviser and they will be able to fit your circumstances to an appropriate lender.I am a Mortgage Adviser
