Natwest current account fun and games....not

Ok I went bankrupt July 2003 and was discharged in April 2005.
My credit file is now clean as a whistle, with nothing showing.
So today i try and upgrade my current account with Natwest from a step to a regular account....denied
The reason according to my manager.....I need to be discharged for at least 6 years!!! (seriously guys...!!!!!!?)
So, as fair warning to anyone that does not want a wasted search on their file in a similar situation....dont bother. Time to go someplace else I think.....anyone have any opinions on HSBC?

The thing with Lloyds they use their own internal scoring, I believe it being 1 - 9 with 1 being the very best.
So you may have just failed that, there has been a lot on this matter on the Bank/savings threads.
HSBC, also use behaviour scoring and I think to get certain products you have to have an internal minimum score. There's is out of 100.
