What is considered "income" to the CSA?

I wondered if anybody out there can help me with this one.
I am considering applying to the CSA to break me out of an expensive private arrangement (consent order)
I am the NRP, earning a salary of £36000/yr and recieving a taxable car allowence of £2800 / yr
I also recieve 40P per mile (The maximum allowed tax free by HMRC) for business mileage.
I also contribute £2000/ yr into a company pension scheme.
I assume that my salary and car allowence would be considered income, but would the 40p / mile be included??. This could make quite a difference as I do about 20k miles per year resulting in an additional £6500 non taxable payment, which of course goes towards my fuel, road tax, maint insurance etc, so make nothing on it!
Any advice would be appreciated

Has your consent order been in place for over 12 months?
Have you been onto the csa website to enter your salary for a calculation?
With regards to your car allowance can I ask is your car essential to your job?
If so pm me and I will point you in the right direction to deal with this.

Not all the car allowance should be assessable ( though they will probably try and include it initially )
The 40p will not be included. Do you have the option of a company car ?0 -
If I was you I would join the Nacsa so that you can get some advice. They are brilliant!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0

Indeed they are but as the OP is only testing the water and considering instigating the case himself i am not sure it is money well spent. Yet........

Yes I can see your point;)
For us we joined to ensure there was as little room for error as possible before our assessment.....if there is such a thing as a little room for error with the csa:rotfl:
To the op have you checked what you should be paying by using the csa calculator?
Are your circumstances different now to when the consent order was put in place?
It was my understanding that a consent order for child maintenance would be calculated using csa guidelines anyway (only my understanding though), so unless your circumstances have changed it may not be any less?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
