Coast Designer Dress Saga - advice needed please!

Hi all,
just wanted to post here as I'm not sure what to do:mad:
I bought a designer dress in Coast (Debenhams). It cost £90, down from £140ish in the sale.
I wore it once to an outdoor wedding and it has got water damage on it! By that I mean, water actually stained the dress - even under my armpits where I must have sweated a little.:p
I read the label and it says 'dry clean only' and 'colour may transfer when wet'.
I left it in at the dry cleaners and am going to pick it up tomorrow, but the girl in the dry cleaners said the water stains mightn't come out??!
If I had have known that rain water could damage the dress in this way I wouldnt have bought it, obviously we live in northern ireland and it was for an outdoor wedding:p
I have also lost my receipt but could find the purchase on my bank statement I'm sure.
If the stains do not come out does anyone know what my rights are, as I will be taking it back to the shop (not looking forward to it).!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Coast should be able to trace your transaction if you payed by card.
Under the Fair Trading act you should be covered, as the item was not fit for the purpose it was sold for. Unless it stated anywhere on the item to avoid water etc?
Did the salesperson say there was no return or refund on the purechase when you bought the item? Because im not sure how you would stand if they did.
p.s this is a longshot , but are you the lady who sold me and my mother the matching coast bag at the car boot sale in dundrum on sunday? lol0 -
