    Why does everyone in this thread confuse the original statement about the recession being over, with house price recovery?

    The latter is the effect of the former, not the other way round. There is more to an economy than bloody house prices.

    Totally wrong.

    Free market economics and deregulation will prevail, and still is. It is too strong and has delivered too many benefits to too many people, including just about everybody on this forum. Without it, most wouldnt have houses to be obsessed about.

    The last 18 months are a temporary glitch.
