multipack sizes getting smaller

has anyone else noticed that in multipacks of things like crisps and chocolates are getting smaller for example hula hoops are 25g in multipacks and 45g if you buy them off the shelf. so are multi packs such a good deal anymore?

As far as I can remember, multipack sizes have always been smaller - at least with things such as crisps - than the Off The Shelf equivalent.

I guess they're designed with lunchboxes etc. in mind, i know i wouldn't want a larger packet with my lunch!
Also, if the Off The Shelf packets weigh more, the retailers can *charge* more for this 1-off snack .
