Hi
Anybody know a good hairdresser's in the Edinburgh/Midlothian area? I'm looking for somewhere reasonably priced, not dirt cheap, that does a good haircut. Better than good, even.
Also, what exactly is a reasonable price for a haircut? I haven't had my hair done in a few years, so there'll be a fair bit of work involved -it's pretty long, too. I figured £60 is my spending limit, but that's just how much I could spend - I'd rather spend less!

My mum, sisters and I have used the same hairdresser locally (East Lothian) for a number of years. She is always very busy.At the moment she is on maternity leave and only intends coming back 2-3 days a week so it will be harder than ever to get an appointment with her. As a result I was recommended another local hairdresser, again it was not easy to get an appointment. Both of these charge £18-£22 for a cut and blow dry. Perhaps if you ask around in your neighbourhood to find out who is popular it will be cheaper than town prices.
My sons go to 'Kipps' in Cheynes at York Place. He spends a considerable time with them and never rushes. I think my eldest pays almost £30. I get the youngest cheaper as he is still at school. I don' know what they charge for female haircuts.0 -
I've been going to LS Style in Oxgangs for the last 7 - 8 years now (used to trade under a different name until recently) and think that Leanne the owner cuts hair really well. A cut and blow dry costs under £25
I've been living in the Outer Hebrides for 3 years now, but still get my hair cut in Edinburgh, as I've not found anyone who comes close!0
