OR's "chart" for I&E
script
Does anybody have a copy of the latest “chart” that the OR uses - with all the living expenses that are allowed in B/R.
It would be so useful when you’re working out your I&E.

Not really......the latest list is from around 2006-2008 (ish) and you'll need excel to open it on your PC

Thanks Phil.
I'm helping a friend prepare for B/R and it looks like she really doesn't have any surplus.
Well maybe about £25.00 a month - but I'm hoping they'll let her keep that.0 -
Is there a general rule of thumb with regards to the amount of surplus the OR allows you to keep?
I had not got that far in my thinking so forgive me if it seems a silly questionThere used to be a street named after Chuck Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives.0 -
IF you had a surplus of OVER £99 a month after living expenses are paid then the receiver would show interest & then possibly start whats called an IPA
anything under £99 they will allow you to keep usuallyWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -

Sorry to gate crash this thread. I understand the £99 thing now. I'm self employed. If my income goes up after BR I'm assuming I have to tell the OR? And if so how quickly do I have to inform them? I get paid in cash mostly. Supposing it went up say..£25 pw for 3 months. (this is not unusual in my line of work, extra bits here and there) I would imagine I would need a direct line to them if I had to notify OR of every variance? There used to be a street named after Chuck Norris, but it was changed because nobody crosses Chuck Norris and lives.0
