    Queenie, Nail Varnish answer:
I use an old lid from something to mix it in. I just pour a couple of drops in and mix, you need to work fast or it dries before you're done, if you use a smaller lid then it doesn't dry out as fast (surface area to a minimum)
With this it was a bit darker than I wanted so I did do a coat of pale pink over it to lighten it a bit more.
    HTH.
Really it's just trial and error.
I have also crummbled in some eyeshadow before to get a colour I wanted.
  • I agree there has been far too much spending on here today, tut tut *sinks into corner* :p

(I am spend neutral though after making nearly £200 (after fees/postage) on ebay selling old stuff)

But I have been getting a litte spend happy so I'm going to have to get back on the no spend challenge me thinks

No new toiletries challenge - use up the stash first!

  • thanks vicki...you've just bought up a childhood memory for me...when I was younger (about 12) I use to use eye shadow as lipstick and put lip balm over it! how bizarre I was

I think lots of us did that. Max factor used to sell a lipstick that was essentially that.

Oh another one we used to do as teens was a reverse tattoo! You draw a craxy design in black eyeliner in the same place everyday so when you tan you get a white "tattoo"
  • never did a reverse tatoo, how funny.

I once shaved off half my eyebrows around the same time...I wonder why I did that?! Vicki you've encouraged some repressed memories to come to the surface I'm sitting here thinking about all sorts of bizarre things from that time

I'm back :D ...... thanks for the replies ladies ...... it's a 'tulip' style skirt (not poppy style, see told you I was naff at this :o), so should hide my hips) and it's knee length. I've got quite big calves but they don't look too bad with heels and opaque tights.

I've got an excuse to spend ...... I have NO clothes that fit me (well, slight exaggeration there but I'm definitely in the 2 tops, 1 bottoms category atm ).

I've decided I'm going CS'ing tomorrow and I'm going to venture into the unknown too (New Look :rotfl:).

If you are overly conscious of your legs shoes the same colour as the tights would be most flattering, but sometimes life is for living and red is very alive!
